THE NAME NUMBERS

In this chapter we will delve into the meaning of our names, learning how to discover our true characters through the calculation of both our given and surnames. Calculating the name numbers is very simple; we just translate each letter into a number, add up the numbers and reduce them to a single digit. It is also called as the the Expression Number.
The Expression Number (also called the Destiny Number) is the total sum of every letter of your full name, which, incidentally, is the name found on your birth certificate. Second in importance to the Life Path Number, your Expression Number reveals your truest self. This is the essence of who you are.

4.1. EXPRESSION NUMBERS

4.1.1. The Number One

You know exactly who you are, what you believe and where you are headed. You don't want to be the pencil pusher; you want to envision the pencil that will change the world, initiate its design and marketing concept, become head of the company, receive national praise and when that's done you want to move on and create

something else. You are a Number One. You can be very generous and typically enjoy the company of others, displaying a genuine interest in their well being (albeit never as much as in your own). But you also have the tendency to need constant ego stroking and recognition, without which you may become aggressive or hostile.

4.1.2. The Number Two

You are a gentle, timid creature who symbolizes the classic angel without wings who helps everyone else learn how to fly. You despise conflict and disharmony and are very sensitive to other people's opinions of you. You love to fall in love, be in love, and be loved-but in a very gentle and tender way. Because of your shyness, sensitivity, and otherworld qualities, others may find you disconcerting, which can lead you to experience loneliness and depression. Generally speaking, you are a very gentle soul. Be careful that you don't give in to your negative side. Very few can be as critical or malicious as a number two scorned.
